Through somatic therapy, individuals impacted by trauma can gradually restore a sense of safety, connection, and regulation in their bodies. Healing is not only possible — it's deeply supported by the body’s innate capacity to move toward balance.

Somatic Experiencing
Somatic Experiencing® is a body-based approach to healing trauma and chronic stress. Developed by Dr. Peter Levine, it focuses on helping the nervous system return to a state of balance by gently tracking physical sensations, rather than re-telling or reliving traumatic events. By tuning into the body’s natural rhythms and responses, Somatic Experiencing supports the release of stored survival energy, restores a sense of safety, and helps individuals feel more grounded, resilient, and connected. Both Allie and Courtney are SEPs (Somatic Experiencing Practitioners).

Touch Therapy
Touch therapy in the context of somatic work includes modalities like Transforming Touch® and Somatic Resilience and Regulation, which use gentle, attuned contact to support nervous system regulation and healing from early developmental trauma. These approaches are grounded in the understanding that the body remembers, and that healing often requires more than words. By offering safe, supportive touch, these therapies help restore a felt sense of safety, support co-regulation, and repair early attachment disruptions — all of which can lead to deeper integration, connection, and resilience.
Allie is a certified Healing Touch Practitioner. For more information re: TEB, please refer to www.austinattach.org.
Allie is currently in the process of completing a certification in Somatic Resilience and Regulation as well. For more information, please refer to https://somaticpractice.net/resources/

Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)
The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is a gentle, listening-based intervention designed to help calm the nervous system and support feelings of safety and connection. Developed by Dr. Stephen Porges and based on the Polyvagal Theory, SSP uses specially filtered music to stimulate the vagus nerve, which plays a key role in how we respond to stress and connect with others. This protocol can help reduce anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and create a greater sense of ease in the body — especially for those with trauma, sensory sensitivities, or nervous system dysregulation. Courtney is a certified SSP provider.

Trauma-Informed Hypnosis
Trauma-informed hypnosis is a gentle, collaborative approach to hypnotherapy that honors the needs of individuals who have experienced trauma. Unlike traditional hypnosis, it emphasizes safety, choice, and nervous system regulation, creating a supportive space where clients remain in control. This method can help access deeper layers of awareness, support healing from traumatic experiences, and shift long-held patterns — all while staying grounded in a sense of empowerment and trust.
Allie obtained her certification with Courtney Armstrong, LPC. For more information, please refer to https://www.traumainformedhypnosis.com/about
